Monitoring your email domain reputation

Monitoring your email domain reputation

Domain reputation, or how your domain is perceived by mailbox providers, is a key component in email deliverability: mailbox providers use it to make decisions about whether your emails should make it to the inbox or not.

There are many ways to monitor your domain reputation but the most reliable one is Google Postmaster as Google is a top receiver for many senders, and you can check your domain reputation in Google Postmaster Tools (GPT).

  1. Visit Manage domains – Postmaster Tools (google.com) and login using your google account

  1. Click on the + button on the lower right corner.

  1. A TXT record will then be generated which needs to be added in your DNS. Once that is done you have to verify using either the verify button or if you have refreshed page, select the three dots and select verify domain.
